Denmark coronation will be ‘pretty low key’ predicts royal expert

Daily Mirror royal editor Russell Myers predicts the crowing of a new monarch in Demark will be a “pretty low key” event, similar to the Coronation of King Charles III. “I don’t think it’s going to be as huge as anyone is expecting,” he told Sky News Senior Reporter Caroline Marcus. “They are pretty low key. “I do think there will be a bit of pomp and pageantry, as we expect from royalty, but it will certainly not be as big and that’s in keeping with the cost-of-living crisis that’s going on for all of us.” Denmark is set to crown their new King and Queen - the current Crown Prince Frederick and Crown Princess Mary on January 14 following the shock abdication of Queen Margrethe II after 52 years on the throne.
