Deputy speaker raises money for construction of Mukono cathedral
The deputy speaker of parliament, Thomas Tayebwa has today joined Christians in Mukono to fundraise for the construction of the new cathedral there, expected to cost at least 6 billion shillings. Leading the service, the archbishop of the church of Uganda Dr Grace Kaziimba Mugalu challenged Christians to contribute greatly towards the church’s human resource. The deputy speaker, who carried 20 million shillings from the president, thanked the Anglican Church for their contribution to the education sector, which has been critical to the country's development.
