Desalcott puts planned shutdown on hold

To prevent a major water crisis in this country, the Minister of Public Utilities Marvin Gonzales has asked Desalcott to postpone their scheduled shut down in October. His request comes as the capacity of this country's reservoirs remain below the long term average - even in the midst of the wet season. And customers served by the Caroni and Hollis Water Treatment Plants are already dealing with a reduced supply. Ignatius Wharton and Carisa lee have more.
