‘Desperation’: Steven Miles promising free school lunches

Former Queensland premier Campbell Newman says the Miles government promising free school lunches if they are elected is “desperation” from Labor. “Here’s the deal, the promise is to provide a school lunch for every primary school child in Queensland … it’s a massive logistics exercise,” Mr Newman told Sky News Australia. “Surely people get that if you bring some children into the world, it’s your responsibility to feed them.”
