‘Devastated’: Hollie Hughes speaks out following preselection disappointment

Liberal Senator Hollie Hughes has joined Sky News host Paul Murray to speak out after being dumped at the Liberal preselection. Senator Hughes has been relegated to an unwinnable spot on the Liberals’ NSW Senate ticket for the next federal election. “This has been my life for twenty-plus years that I’ve given to the Liberal party … it’d be a lie to say I’m not disappointed, devastated,” Ms Hughes told Mr Murray. “Overwhelmingly the people that have reached out to me … have said what has the “I love this country; I was the only senator who stood up for the no campaign … I’m going to stand by those values.”
