‘Devastating’: Greens MP accuses Labor of locking in ‘unlimited rent increases’

Greens Housing Spokesperson Max Chandler-Mather has accused the Albanese government of locking in “unlimited rent increases” which have a “devastating” human consequence. “Even under our plan, wages would not catch up to rents until about 2029,” Mr Chandler-Mather told Sky News Australia. “All we’re saying is one-third of this country rents and, right now, Labor wants to lock in unlimited rent increases. “The human consequences are devastating – they’re devastating.”
