‘Disappointing’: Albanese slammed for ‘mixed messages’ on Israel

Manager of Opposition Business Paul Fletcher has slammed the Albanese government for its “wishy-washiness and mixed messages” over Israel’s right to self-defence. The Middle East is on the brink of an all-out war after Iran’s missile attack on Israel. Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to retaliate, saying Tehran will pay. “Israel is exercising its right to self-defence,” Mr Fletcher told Sky News Australia. “We should be supporting Israel. “I strongly support Israel’s right of self-defence, and the wishy-washiness and mixed messages coming from the Prime Minister and this government are very disappointing.”
