‘Disaster’: Donald Trump fell into a ‘number of rhetorical traps’ during debate

Political Science Professor Dr Patrick Schoettmer says the presidential debate was a “fair disaster” for former US president Donald Trump. “He came in needing to do a couple of key things – he needed to reassure people that he could be a steady hand, and he needed to closely tie Harris to the Biden administration,” he told Sky News Australia. “He really failed to do those because he fell into a number of rhetorical traps that Harris set for him.”
