DLP: Take pride in strides made since Independence

The Opposition Democratic Labour Party says Barbadians must be proud of the strides made by Barbados since attaining Independence. Leader Ralph Thorne has highlighted the contributions of the late Father of Independence, the Right Excellent Errol Walton Barrow and the DLP to nationhood. According to him, political independence was a necessary step in facilitating the development of Barbadian society. He says Barbados has evolved in many ways and lives have been transformed as a result of the 'State's steady hand on society's rudder'.
