DOG ASSAULTED: Michigan inmate punches jail comfort dog in head

A comfort dog was attacked by an inmate inside the Genesee County Jail as she made her rounds visiting with staff and inmates. Josie, who is 13-months-old, suffered a concussion and eye injury when Romello Maxwell punched her in the head. Maxwell, who is in jail for assault, is now facing a charge of killing or torturing animals.
