Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer says Donald Trump reacted to being shot with a show of “strength”. The former president was pierced by a bullet at his recent rally after a shooter attempted to assassinate him. “He showed perseverance, he showed American grit,” Mr Spicer said. “Donald Trump never got knocked down; he stayed up, and he showed why Americans love a fighter.”
