Donald Trump not backing down on tariff threats

US President Donald Trump is not backing down on his tariff threats against Canada and Mexico which are due to come into effect next month. The second of April is reciprocal tariff day for the White House, with Mr Trump declaring trading partners Canada and Mexico won’t be spared. “This country has been ripped off from every nation in the world – every company outside in the world, we’ve been ripped off at levels never seen before and all we’re going to do is get it back,” Mr Trump said.
