Donald Trump says he held ‘very good call’ with Zelensky

Former US president Donald Trump says he has held a “very good call” with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky. In a post on Truth Social, the Republican presidential candidate says Mr Zelensky condemned the assassination attempt against him. He added that if he wins the presidential election, he will end the war with Russia. “Both sides will be able to come together and negotiate a deal that ends the violence and paves a path forward to prosperity,” Mr Trump said.
