Donation to QEH to enhance health care services

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital is better placed to treat patients after receiving another donation of medical supplies. Some $135,000 worth of surgical, chemical and other supplies, as well as incubators have been donated by the sixth Chinese medical team in Barbados. The presentation falls in line with an agreement to supply medical equipment during the Chinese team's work on island. Chief Operations Officer at the QEH, Dr. Christine Greenidge says the generous donations over the years have helped medical staff. Ambassador of China to Barbados, Yan Xiusheng was on hand for the handover at the QEH. He says the equipment will further enhance cooperation in health care and strengthen the friendship between the people of China and Barbados.
