Doug Ford accuses Trump of trying to push Canada into "recession"

While speaking to reporters on Monday, Ontario Premier Doug Ford said that Trump is a "smart guy" and "he understands the market," but accused him of trying to push Canada into recession. "He is trying to push us into a recession. That's how bad this is going to get. All because of one person. Everything was hunky dory before," Ford said. "He gets in, market slides, threats of assembly plants going down, manufacturing going down, people are going to lose their jobs. Inflation's happening all over the place. Because why? Because of one person: President Trump." Ford urged U.S. political leaders, including senators and governors, to pressure Trump to change course and stated, "if he goes full steam out, it's going right downhill for both countries."
