Downtown traders reopen after EFRIS protest, Museveni halts penalties
The majority of downtown traders have reopened their businesses after five days of closure in protest of the Electronic Fiscal Receipting and Invoicing Solution, a system used by the Uganda Revenue Authority to collect VAT. Traders operating in major arcades and busy business hubs like Kikuubo, Mini Price, and Arua Park are now operating normally, except a few closed shops. The resumption of business follows yesterday's meeting between leaders of the traders and President Museveni. Museveni suspended penalties associated with EFRIS. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda
