Members of the Small Business Association are being cautioned not to click on any links in emails purporting to be from the SBA, asking for personal and financial information. SBA's Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Lynette Holder says she does not know if there is any correlation between a recent government entity being hacked and the emails. However, she notes members started receiving emails immediately after that incident. The CEO states the Data Protection Legislation does not allow for the sharing of members' data to third-party individuals or institutions. Dr. Holder says in this month's SBA webinar scheduled for two weeks' time, they will be highlighting the need for cybersecurity and bringing a more comprehensive awareness to their members.
