Drone footage shows devastation caused by flooding in Polish town | ABS-CBN News

Drone footage showed the extent of the destruction caused by floods in the Polish town of Stronie Slaskie, after swollen rivers left buildings half-standing with ripped-away facades. Army personnel and civil protection teams are working to remove as much of the damage as they can in southern Poland and rebuild water evacuation systems. In Stronie Slaskie, one of the areas worst hit by the massive floods, residents and volunteers began clearing up in hopes that their homes would be livable before the onset of winter. Parts of the mountain town of 5,000 people were swamped when a dam burst last weekend during Central Europe's worst floods in more than two decades, which have caused billions of dollars in damage and killed at least 24 people.
