Drug-resistant infections are on the rise

ANU infectious diseases expert Sanjaya Senanayake has joined Sky News Australia to discuss the rise in drug-resistant infections and why it has become such an issue. It comes as according to a new study in the Lancet, nearly 40 million people will die from antibiotic resistant infections between now and 2050. This week at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, all nations agreed to ramp up efforts to tackle the problem.
