Economic growth for 2024/25 fy projected at between 6% to 6.5%

Bank of Uganda’s monetary policy committee reduced the Central Bank Rate by 25 basis points to 10.0% for the month of August 2024. The MPC noted that although risks of higher inflation remain, the adverse impact from past external shocks was abated and there are some progresses in moderating risks of inflation persistence.
