ECONOMIC GROWTH:Treasury shares positive outlook

The permanent secretary and secretary to the treasury, Ramathan Goobi, says the recent positive economic fundamentals, such as low inflation, a pick up in the current account balance, and shilling appreciation against the dollar are good signs that the economy is healthy. He however warns of rising interest payments on earlier borrowings and urged the government to tame its appetite for debt while putting in place measures to increase exports.
