Education Ministry working to resolve issues at schools
The Ministry of Education has given the assurance that every effort is being made to resolve issues at St. Giles Primary and St. George Secondary. Last Thursday, teachers at St. Giles Primary called in sick and this was after a similar occurrence two weeks earlier. Deputy Chief Education Officer with Responsibility for Schools, Glyne Price says that, last Friday a meeting was convened, which he describes as productive and fruitful. Meanwhile, St. George Secondary remains closed until further notice. Chief Education Officer Dr. Ramona Archer-Bradshaw says officials are working alongside the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Housing to eradicate an ongoing mosquito issue.
