The Ministry of Education and Sports has promised to address the issue of expenses related to the government’s universal education programs, specifically outlining what the government will cover and what responsibilities will remain with parents or guardians. While presenting the Ministry's progress report for the 2021/2024 period, Minister for Education and Sports, Janet Museveni, acknowledged that this issue has contributed to the persistent problem of school dropouts. However, she expressed optimism that the situation will improve as the budget increases.
