Member of Parliament, Disabilities Advocate Edmund Hinkson is calling on property owners to install cameras on their premises to capture those illegally parking in car park spaces reserved for persons with disabilities. The Senior Counsel is making the call on the heels of an amendment to the Road Traffic Act being laid in Parliament next Tuesday to increase the fine for illegally parking in spaces allocated for those in the disabled community. Mr. Hinkson says in addition to this development, Cabinet approved the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Bill on Thursday. He adds the Bill is expected to be laid in Parliament by Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs Kirk Humphrey next Tuesday.
