Efforts continue to introduce community building programmes
Government is pushing ahead with efforts to introduce community building programmes across Barbados. Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley again spoke about some of plans at the St. Michael Parish Speaks at Solidarity House last night. She was responding to a call from a member of the audience for more intervention programmes for young people to keep them from getting into trouble with the law. Minister of State in the Office of the Attorney General Corey Lane has provided an update on the implementation of prevention programmes. Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs Kirk Humphrey says they are working hard to find people to work with community groups. He says they have done research to develop solutions to some of the problems.
