Efforts continue to meet housing demand
Housing Minister Dwight Sutherland says Government has been able to identify land to build more than 20,000 houses. He made the disclosure as he tabled a Resolution in the Lower House to vest just over ten acres of land at Castle Grant Plantation, St. Joseph, in the National Housing Corporation, to provide 84 new housing solutions. He explains the different arrangement involves a revised approach to housing Barbadians still on the NHC's waiting list. Mr. Sutherland says despite the significant amount of land Government has identified, the demand has continued to rise, especially since the announcement of the 10,000 House initiative.
