Efforts on to empower community workers

The Ministry of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs and the National Transformation Initiative are on a mission to empower community workers, specifically those who work in the Home Help and Community Elder Care Programme. This is as a result of a memorandum of understanding between the National Assistance Board and the National Transformation Initiative. These workers will join over 800 staff of the Grantley Adams International Airport who were the first cohort to be involved in this programme.
