Efforts to provide housing solutions continue
Come December, 28 families will move into single unit homes in Bullen's Land, Holders Hill, St. James. The remaining eight units, set to be created in quadruplexes, will be completed in due course. This forms part of the houses to be built under the East West Project. This was revealed by Minister of Housing, Lands and Maintenance Dwight Sutherland, as he led off the Resolution: Section 5 Crown Lands (Vesting and Disposal) Act Cap 225, Holders Hill, St James. Additionally, he says part of the land has been earmarked for the Bullen's Children's Home for the Child Care Board, where work has already commenced. Mr. Sutherland says the final part of the East West Project to be completed is a housing solution at Dodds North, St. Philip, where 27 units are to be built. To date, the public and private sectors have built 1,323 houses; 974 by public and 349 by private collectively.
