Eight-year-old Detroiter Rosie White goes viral for her impersonations of Black icons

An eight-year-old Detroit girl and her family have gained national attention for their videos impersonating Black icons and historical figures. Robyn McKee, who goes by Rosie White on social media, impersonates well-known Black historical figures like Harriet Tubman and Malcolm X and pop culture icons such as Tina Turner, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder in her videos. Rosie works with her mom and sister to create the videos. Contributor Daijah Moss talks with Rosie and her family about the inspiration behind making these videos, how they got started, and the moments they’ve shared as a family along the way.
