In the U.S., reproductive rights are high on the agenda during this 2024 presidential election cycle. This comes two years after the Supreme Court overturned a 50-year precedent protecting a woman’s right to an abortion. When the Mississippi clinic at the center of the 2022 legal case was forced to close, the owner opened new facilities where abortion was still legal - including the state of Virginia.
