Electricity tariffs for households to rise to 32.58 cents per kWh after GST

The cost of electricity and gas in Singapore is set to rise in the next quarter. The Energy Market Authority said this is driven by higher energy prices and increased taxes. For the period of January to end-March, electricity tariffs will come in higher at 32.58 cents for each kilowatt-hour. Still, there are expectations that these tariffs may stabilise in the near term., even as it has climbed for the third straight quarter. Sherlyn Seah reports.
