Ensuring gender equality for society

Women have been encouraged not to be daunted by any societal standards in Barbados, whether social or political, even as they strive for positions of leadership. The advice from Director of the Bureau of Gender Affairs William Warner. He says this is a critical indication of where a society is with respect to gender equality. Mr. Warner made the remark during a closing ceremony for a young women's leadership summit at the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus. Mr. Warner reaffirmed his agency's commitment to continue working with partners to provide necessary tools for the development of women.
