Environmental Health Division Issues Food Safety Guidelines for the Festive Season
As 2024 comes to a close, the Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs, through its Environmental Health Division, is intensifying efforts to promote food safety during the festive season. With an increase in festivals and social gatherings during this period, there is a noticeable rise in cases of foodborne illnesses, such as food poisoning and gastroenteritis. The Ministry is taking this opportunity to educate the public on essential precautionary measures to protect themselves and their loved ones from food-related health risks. These efforts align with the Environmental Health Division’s mandate to safeguard public health by ensuring that food prepared, served, and consumed during the festive season meets safety standards.
