EU chief von der Leyen warns West against slackening support for Ukraine

European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen said the West must not let up in supplying Ukraine with weapons and money, if it wants it to succeed in its war against Russia. Ms Von der Leyen was speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, at a time when war fatigue appears to be showing among Kyiv's Western allies. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is making his first in-person appearance at the Davos meeting. He met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken earlier today, who promised Washington's sustained support for Kyiv.
