European markets performing ‘quite well’ in anticipation of UK election

CommSec’s Tom Piotrowski says the markets have been “well across” the idea of a change of administration in the United Kingdom. “As far as what we’ve seen overnight, European markets actually did quite well,” Mr Piotrowski told Sky News Australia. “The FTSE was amongst the most improved in Europe – up by around 0.9 per cent.” “The context for that is that over the course of recent weeks, stocks in general have declined, and interest rates have moved higher in anticipation of these elections.” Presented by CommSec.
