‘Exceedingly fortunate’: Bill Shorten discusses retiring from politics

NDIS Minister Bill Shorten has sat down with Sky News Australia to discuss his announcement of retiring from politics. “I feel very lucky to have served the parliament for 17 years,” Mr Shorten said. “No one in my family has ever come close to being in public life – there have been some good days and there’s been some bad days, but there’s not a single day I would hand back. “I’m just very grateful to my voters and people of Australia and it’s been a privilege … I just feel exceedingly fortunate.”
