Anwar says he considers Chinese President Xi Jinping more like a friend and hails China's global initiatives as "fundamental pillars" in promoting global security. With Malaysia assuming the rotating chairmanship of ASEAN in 2025, Anwar is committed "to focusing on political stability and effective collaboration between countries."
