Explosions heard in Syrian capital: AJE correspondent

Al Jazeera’s Resul Serdar says a “loud explosion” has been heard in Damascus. “It has shaken the hotel that journalists are staying in,” Serdar said, adding that it was followed by the sound of several less powerful blasts. While the exact source and locations of the explosions were not confirmed, Serdar noted that Israel has been carrying out aerial bombardments “on strategic areas” across Syria – particularly in and around Damascus – around this time over the past few days.
