Family jumps from second-floor window to escape Colton house fire

Family members jumped from a second-floor window to escape a house fire in Colton that left eight people hospitalized. Six children and their parents were in the home, near the Colton Civic Center, when the fire started around 5:30 a.m. Friday, a family member said. All eight were hospitalized with three in critical condition, according to firefighters. A brother of the homeowner said the family made a desperate escape out a second-floor window.
