FARMER PILOT PROJECT TO ROLL OUT IN COMING MONTHS

Stakeholders have welcomed an initiative to improve record-keeping in agriculture and provide more assistance to farmers. The Agricultural Extension Division has started a new phase in its farmer registration programme pilot project. The pilot project which focuses on 100 farmers will see the photographs and signatures collected this week sent to the newly established Agriculture Statistics Division. The programme will continue to be rolled out during the summer. Hilesha Humphreys reports.
