FARMERS DEMAND FOR INVESTMENT IN THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR TO PROMOTE AGRO INDUSTRIALIZATION.

Farmers under their Umbrella body, the Uganda National Farmers Federation want government to focus on areas that can promote Agro industrialization such as irrigation and mechanization to allow production on a large scale. The Chief executive Officer director Uganda national farmers federation Perezi Kawumi stresses that promoting agro industrialization will create more employment for young people but also ensure the country’s food security.
