Institute of Public Affairs Director of Research Morgan Begg claims federal and state governments must collaborate to address Australia's housing policy failures. The federal government has fallen behind in its housing accord proposal of building 20,000 homes every month until 2029. Data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics show the government is 26 per cent below the required monthly home approvals. “What really needs to happen is the federal governments and the state governments working together to deal with the red tape,” Mr Begg told Sky News Australia.
