Fighting child marriages, Poverty has been singled out as one of the key drivers to child marriages.

The minister of state for disaster preparedness and refugees Lilian Aber has challenged communities to take collective responsibility to protect girls and ensure that they complete school. Minster Aber was officiating at the annual girls’ summit that aims at highlighting the challenges leading to persistent child marriages.
