Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has arrived at Parliament to present her sixth budget, making her an essential figure in the country's financial landscape. In the history of Indian budgets, the first interim one was presented in 1947 by R. K. Shanmugam Chetty. Since then, 14 interim budgets have been showcased, with the most recent one in February 2019 by Interim Finance Minister Piyush Goyal, in lieu of Arun Jaitley who was in the United States for medical treatment.
