Financial exploitation of elderly on the increase

Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs Kirk Humphrey says financial exploitation of the elderly is on the increase. He was speaking as the Lower House considered a Resolution to take note of the 2023 to 2028 National Policy on Ageing. Mr. Humphrey also shared the findings of a Situational Analysis, which identifies a number of strengths and weaknesses. The weaknesses include an inadequate supply of home and community care services for the elderly.
