The first 1 pound coins bearing the portrait of King Charles III will enter circulation across the UK this week, The Royal Mint said on Tuesday (August 20). The Royal Mint, the UK's official maker of British coins, released footage of the production of new £1 coins bearing the portrait of King Charles. Almost three million coins will enter circulation this week via post offices and banks across the UK.
