President Museveni has confirmed that the First Lady and Minister for Education and Sports, Janet Museveni, is in self-isolation after testing positive for Covid-19. According to a statement, the First Lady began feeling unwell during lunch on Christmas Day at the Rwakitura country home. The president stated that she experienced a sore throat, prompting her to undergo a rapid test for the coronavirus. Although the initial test yielded negative results, samples were sent to Mbarara for a confirmatory test, which returned positive. This development affected their Christmas holiday as a family. The president has since returned to Kampala, while the First Lady, experiencing mild symptoms such as a headache and sore throat, has remained in Rwakitura to continue her recovery. She is now the second member of the first family to contract Covid-19, following the president's positive test in June. President Museveni has reported testing negative for Covid-19 and is actively carrying out state duties. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda
