Fleeing Ukraine's incursion: Sporadic shelters pop up in Kursk and its suburbs
Since Ukrainian forces launched an incursion into Russia’s Kursk region, over 50 displaced individuals have sought refuge in a private boxing club turned shelter. Many, including a young boy who plays games and children who practice boxing, are coping with the upheaval. Local volunteers are providing aid and support, with one facility distributing nearly 15 tons of supplies daily. The shelter residents, hopeful to return home, face a harsh reality as the conflict continues to impact over 130,000 people in the area. Al Jazeera’s Dorsa Jabbari reports.
