Flood emergency warnings caused by ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred are beginning to ease in parts of Queensland and New South Wales. Despite the rain easing, four rivers remain at the major flood level, and some are continuing to rise.    On Monday, Brisbane experienced its wettest day in half a century, but the city avoided flood levels similar to 2011 and 2022. One emergency warning remains active in the state. Those in the Gold Coast areas of Luscombe, Yatala, Stapylton, Alberton and Gilberton are being told it's too dangerous to leave and to seek high ground. However, those in flood-affected areas are being warned to monitor conditions.
