Flood warnings remain for south-east Queensland

Thunderstorm warnings and flood emergencies have been issued in parts of south-east Queensland as heavy rain continues to drench the state amid remnants of ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred. The dangerous weather conditions are hampering efforts to restore power to more than 200,000 homes across Brisbane, Moreton Bay and the Gold Coast. Emergency warnings of flash flooding are in the areas between Tamborine and Beenleigh as well as Greenbank, New Beith and Forestdale.
